Australia Coal
We Work With You For Solution.
Australia possesses the third-largest coal reserves globally, accounting for 14.3% of the total reserves. The primary coal-producing regions are Queensland and New South Wales. Approximately 70% of the coal extracted in Australia is intended for export, predominantly to Eastern Asia. In the fiscal year 2019-20, Australia exported a total of 390 million tonnes of coal, comprising 177 million tonnes of metallurgical coal and 213 million tonnes of thermal coal. This positioned Australia as the leading exporter of metallurgical coal and the second-largest exporter of thermal coal worldwide.
